Let's rewind back to 1994, when I was the innocent age of 8. I was playing with my pogo stick outside with "the kid with the mowhawk" (I can't seem to remember his name). He dared me to jump in my neighbors newly poured cement sidewalk. The cement was probably about a day old when it was not yet liquidy, but still easily imprinted. I knew my dad wouldn't be leaving for work for about 15 more minutes so I took "the kid with the mowhawk" up on his dare and jumped all around the cement on my pogo stick. As I jumped around in a circle I caught a glimpse of the bumper of my dad's car pulling out of the driveaway, headed in my direction! I was caught! I couldn't jump fast enough and knew I was in for it. I can't even remember what the excuse was that I made up. Something like "I was trying to help the cement dry." Anyway I was caught and "the kid with the mowhawk" was long gone so I had no one to blame.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, was my Larry David moment. If you aren't yet familiar with Larry David or the Larry David moment then you should watch "Curb Your Enthusiasm" five nights a week! Check your local listings here: http://www.curbweeknights.com/
